The Nordic Joint Committee for Agricultural and Food Research (NKJ) is seeking proposals to promote Nordic collaboration among researchers from the agricultural sectors by networking activities including conferences and seminars.
Aims
The aim of the call is to:
increase Nordic regional synergy within agriculture and food research*
establish better contact between the agriculture and food research* communities in the Nordic countries
strengthen North European agriculture and food research* and networking
encourage Nordic researchers and institutions to apply for funding from larger funds like e.g. Horizon 2020 or similar activities.
* Including animal health and welfare and reindeer husbandry.
Focus Areas of the call: Agriculture and Climate
Successful proposals could relate to either of the following focal areas:
Soil as a carbon sink
Alternative proteins
Arctic agriculture and climate
Extreme weather
They also encourage networks with focus on other aspects of Nordic agriculture and food research to apply for funding.
Funding Information
Successful applicants may receive funds from NKJ of up to 200 000 SEK for activities over the course of two years, covering at most 50% of the total budget for the network.
Eligibility Criteria
Participants in submitted networks should represent at least three countries consisting of three research institutions in the Nordic** region.
** Nordic is defined as Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and the autonomous areas of the Faroe Islands, Greenland and the Åland Islands.
