The French Embassy and the French Institute of Lebanon with make sense have launched the Omdi program to support young citizen-based initiatives and startups that are solving a local challenge in Lebanon.

Following the blooming of many youth-led impactful initiatives during the Thawra, this program has been developed to provide technical, financial and community support to the many initiatives that aim to build a more inclusive and sustainable society in Lebanon. Example of thematics: environnement, gender equality, employability, arts and culture, food safety, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Emergence
    • Your initiative has a positive social/environmental impact
    • Your initiative is supported by or in collaboration with a municipality or town (not mandatory, but definitely a ‘’plus’’)
    • Your initiative is not necessarily for profit or does not generate revenues yet
  • Evolution
    • Your project / startup has been on the market for more than a year
    • You have an MVP and generate some revenues
    • Your project / startup / social innovation has a positive social / environmental impact
    • Your initiative is supported by or in collaboration with a municipality (not mandatory, but definitely a ‘’plus’’)
