The Access to Health Fund is now accepting
Proposals for Disability-Inclusive program to improve access to quality
habilitation and rehabilitation services, expanding social inclusion
opportunities, and building resilience of PWDs and their families.
In many settings, persons with disabilities face economic and
social barriers in accessing the health and rehabilitation services they need.
These unmet needs require proactive steps to be taken at all levels to ensure
their inclusion in the assessment, design and implementation of services,
programmes and outreach.
For Access to Health, efforts have been centred
on raising awareness, capacity building, and working to empower persons with
disabilities in demanding access and participation in decisions related to
health service provision at the community level.
